Flip Video UltraHD - Video Camera

I recently bought the Flip Video UltraHD 1 hour camcorder from Walmart. The Flip Video Line comes in three different styles, The UltraHD, the MinoHD, and the SlideHD.  All Flip Video camcorders record in 1280x720 High Definition. The Flip Video series uses H.264 video compression, AAC audio compression, and MP4 file format.  The Flip comes with built in software "Flip Share" which makes it easy to share directly to the web, to sites like Facebook and Youtube.  Also it make it easy to label and categorize your video's, or you may just copy the files over as data to any folder on your PC without the software. The High Definition was great, as this was my first HD video Camera.  I paid around $100 plus tax, which was great in comparison to the $300-$1,000 range of other High Definition video camcorders.  Soon enough I found out that the true HD only works in direct sunlight or a fully lit room.  If you are recording in a low lit room the image comes out very grainy.  Also another very disappointing factor of the Flip is the model I bought comes with 2 AA batteries.  A brand new pair of batteries last about 15-20 minutes in this camera.  I would definitely recommend spending the extra money, to get the upgraded 2 hour model that comes with a lithium ion battery.  Another flaw in the camera is that because of its small size, unless you are using a tripod, the image is very shaky.  Overall the Flip is great for the price.  The HD is great if shot in the right conditions,  it is very easy to extract the video, and share to the web.  I would recommend this video camera to anyone who is looking to shoot HD video on a budget.  If you are looking to shoot hours and hours of video, or looking for a camera with good built in image stabilization, I would recommend to buy something else.
